Great food with a downhome atmosphere. My brother is a regular, and everyone is on first name. Wide selection of great food and great coffee.

I eat there quit often and the food is always the way I ordered it and excellent.

Always such a great place to be & eat. Always greeted friendly smiles & comfortable environment, they make you feel like family !

Truly great place for those 50's Era hamburgers & fries. A place where locals meet, even from out of towner's may meet in passing. Great atmosphere, and the waitresses were very kind. You don't see much of that southern hospitality much anymore, but you will be glad you stopped here. It's that southern comfort and charm that stands absolutely above the rest.

Our first time going and it won’t be the last! We have been living in the New Market area for 3 years and just recently found out about this little family hidden gem! The food was amazing, the service was perfect and the prices are incredible!

The food was delicious and the service was great. It was pretty busy, but they did a great job.

Man... I don’t know where to start. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to stop in at the local family restaurant. I was a bit hesitant due to the “stares, lack of service, or greetings” from this place BUT I was pleasantly surprised and had an awesome experience. As we parked the Tesla, we did get a few eyes from customers leaving this establishment.. I’m sure the older gentleman in his 93’ Ford pickup truck petrol burner probably scoffed under his breath about the city folk coming to dine on their neck of the woods in an electric vehicle. I had a “here goes nothing” moment.. but as we approached the front doors of this very quaint family restaurant.. there was some locals standing outside, I greeted them and even mentioned the weather. Everyone has the weather in common, great ice breaker to start a conversation. We chuckled about the cold-crisp air and went on in. Anywho, we were greeted the moment we stepped in the door. I immediately found a table to seat our family of 4 instead of awkwardly standing there waiting to be seated... I did this because I learned from the reviews I read, this was a seat yourself kind of restaurant... no signs that said to wait or sit so I relied on the faith of others experience to guide me. The nice waitress took our drink orders, the chocolate milk was fantastic . After getting our drinks and taking a gander at the menu before us.. we ordered. All of our breakfast orders were similar. Eggs, grits, biscuits & gravy, toast, hash browns, home fries, and pancakes. Ketchup for the eggs were within arms reach on the lazy susan placed at the center of the table.. great move by them! Love ketchup on eggs and hash browns. For the biscuits and gravy, what’s a good biscuit and gravy without some hot sauce on it!? BAM! She brought that hot sauce out in a hurry.. she must’ve known a big boy needed some hot sauce on his gravy pronto! Mannn them sunny side up eggs were cooked to perfection! Hats off to the chef who made this meal absolutely exquisite. After 1 refill and a whole bunch of delicious food, it was time to bid this fine family style restaurant goodbye. No funny looks, service was fantastic, food was great, clean environment, quiet, and simple. Will be back!

Wonderful hole in the wall for breakfast. Very friendly!
